Denise is still a family business. My daughter, her husband and I have been working together since 2003, and now their daughter comes along (if you call us and hear a small voice in the background, that will be her!). We still manufacture all our products in the USA. We feel deeply that supporting local communities is not just good for our economy, it’s also an easier way to get our products how we and you want them to be. I know David primarily as my fun-loving, sparkly-eyed brother-in-law who, like me, loves a good cup of coffee and spending time with his family. My experiences with breast cancer, though, have introduced me to a different side of David, one I am immensely proud of and grateful for. David’s research is dedicated to finding ways to both diminish the side effects of successful cancer treatments and eradicate cancer-related deaths. His sentinel node detection technique is now preferred by physicians worldwide because of its ease and accuracy.

Working with yarn is about love – love of fiber, love of working with the hands, love of color and texture, love of creating, love of giving. It is also about family and community. These are the things we are most passionate about. We also do what we can to give back: Whether it’s supporting Breast Cancer Research , Stitch Red , or donations of knitting and crochet tools to prisons, schools, and churches that have crafting programs which create for charity.
