At the Denton County Mental Health Mental Retardation Center we provide effective, comprehensive, and timely services to any and all persons in need. We offer state-of-the-art, high-quality facilities to assist individuals in living full and productive lives. Denton County MHMR Center is a local unit of government and a Community MHMR Center that contracts with the Texas Department of State Health Services and the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services as well as other agencies to provide services to individuals with behavioral health care needs. Denton County MHMR Center is designated the local mental health and mental retardation authority for Denton County, Texas. Denton County MHMR Center is administered by a Board of Trustees which is appointed by the Denton County Commissioners.
