For Doctors Coordination of Care Desert Sounds has developed trusting relationships with many doctors in the Valley, working closely together to coordinate care and treatment plans. Doctors, who appreciate our patient-centric approach, refer their patients who require testing or non-medical treatment for hearing loss, tinnitus, and balance disorders. We, in turn, may recommend further medical evaluations by an Ear, Nose and Throat Specialists, Otologists or Neurologists for continued medical or surgical treatments. We accept Medicare, AHCCCS and we are contracted with a large number of insurers. Please call for more information and references, or to set up an appointment to discuss how we can help you provide your patients with the best possible audiological care: 480-497-3285. Our Services: Hearing Tests We perform hearing tests for newborns to patients over 100 years of age. Tests include: Tinnitus Assessment We assess the severity and provide treatment plans for patients who suffer from ringing in the ears. We provide neuromatics for patients with severe and obtrusive tinnitus. Hearing aids are often used successfully for patients with hearing loss and tinnitus. Although we may not completely alleviate tinnitus, we can make it tolerable, so that patients can enjoy life again. Balance Tests and Treatments The hearing and balance mechanisms are connected and sometimes disorders of the hearing system can cause balance or dizziness issues. Tests include: Hearing Assistive Devices We prescribe, fit and dispense assistive listening, alerting and captioning devices. Cochlear Implants We are trained to determine cochlear implant candidacy and provide implant mapping services. Candidates will be referred to a local otologist for surgical determination. Hearing Rehabilitation We provide rehabilitation in several forms: individual, family and group counseling. We are certified trainers for the Kooser Program, an aural rehabilitation workshop and educational support group for those faced with hearing losses.
