Desert Winds Kennels was established in 1993. We are located northeast of San Diego in the beautiful small town of Ranchita,. California. Our first Chesapeake came to us from the renowned Chesabar lines, such lines have produced multiple Westminster Kennel Club winners, multiple Champions, multiple field trial winners, obedience title's, therapy dogs and canine good citizens. We are privileged to carry on this wonderful and successful line. Currently our dogs are performing extremely well in the conformation ring, with multiple Best of Breed wins and group placements. Our dogs are extremely versatile and at home in the water, they have strong retrieve drives and enjoy working birds in the field. Our dogs are OFA and CERF tested and come from lines that have been tested and passed for generations and generations. Puppies are bred on a selective basis with concentration on pedigrees, proper coat and most of all temperament. Puppies are sold on a contract basis and a deposit is required to reserve a puppy from an upcoming litter.
