Design Air was founded in 1972 and is a full-service heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) wholesale distributor serving Wisconsin and Upper Michigan licensed HVAC contractors.

Design Air, founded in 1972, is a wholly owned subsidiary of U.S. Venture., Inc. From our humble beginning in a 1,000 square foot location in Combined Locks, Wisconsin, Design Air relocated to Kimberly, WI in 1974 where today the headquarters serves the Wisconsin and Upper Michigan markets. In 1989, Green Bay, Wisconsin became the second location and a third location was added in West Allis, Wisconsin in 1995. In 1997 the Iron Mountain, Michigan location was added enabling the company to offer on-site inventory and support throughout Northeastern Wisconsin and Upper Michigan.

1983 was a decision making year that forged Design Air's future. As our name implies, Design Air is in the business of designing air systems and solutions for the commercial and residential application. "Our company has been built around our design services but because of our product and supply strength we are able to meet the requirements of the majority of HVAC professionals" said Tom Engler, General Manager. "We have a staff of design engineers in multiple locations to assist our customers needs".
