Design North, a Juneau Alaska-based company, opened its doors in Juneau in 1970 as a general contracting firm working on all aspects of construction. Over the years, our focus has shifted to specializing in roof construction and the application of roofing products for both commercial and residential homes. We take pride in using the highest quality materials available and keeping abreast of the latest trends in the market. Our company is renowned for installing roofs using SBS "rubber" modified asphalt shingles as well as metal roof systems that we manufacture ourselves right here in Juneau. We also install gutter systems using our on-site gutter making machine. In 2012, two long-time employees of Design North, Austin Paul and Coal Barbieri, purchased the company. Now operating as Design North Roofing LLC, they strive to continue the tradition of installing the highest quality roofs available in Juneau and Southeast Alaska.
