Diamond Power Specialty Company, a division of Diamond Power International, Inc., is the world's premier supplier of boiler cleaning equipment. Founded in 1903, as a manufacturer of hand-held boiler cleaning devices, Diamond Power Specialty Co. had its start as one of the leading manufacturers and suppliers of sootblowers. Following the acquisition of Allen-Sherman-Hoff (A-S-H) in 1995, Diamond Power International, Inc. was formed with Diamond Power Specialty Co. and A-S-H as the two primary divisions.

Lancaster, Ohio - Diamond Power International, Inc. (DPII) today announced the acquisition, by an affiliate, of Anlagenbau und Fördertechnik Arthur Loibl GmbH (Loibl), a privately held Straubing, Bavaria, Germany-based manufacturer of material handling equipment.

For over 100 years, Diamond Power has delivered integrated solutions for boiler cleaning, ash handling, controls and diagnostics.

In December of 2002, Diamond Power acquired Applied Synergistics Inc (ASI). ASI control systems have been installed to optimize boiler cleaning equipment in over 120 boilers since 1995, including most water cannon installations. ASI is the recognized technological leader in intelligent cleaning systems. Now known as Diamond Power Controls & Diagnostics, the company offers unmatched knowledge and experience in performance improvement through boiler cleaning.

Allen-Sherman-Hoff is recognized as the world's premier supplier of ash handling equipment. The roots of the Allen-Sherman-Hoff company date back to 1917 when the Baker-Dunbar-Allen Company of Cleveland, Ohio was formed to fulfill the need for improved coal handling techniques in power generating plants. In 1921, Frank Allen left for Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to form a new company with two other individuals, Max Sherman and Leigh Hoff. Together they formed the Allen-Sherman-Hoff Company (A-S-H).
