Katherine A. Knipper has been an accountant with Diapoules & Feinstein since 1997. Prior to her joining D&F, Ms. Knipper was a controller for a private company. She has experience in the preparation of corporate and individual tax returns as well as in the preparation of compiled, reviewed and audited financial statements. She has over 15 years’ experience with small businesses and brings that knowledge and expertise to our clients. She earned her BBA at Dowling College where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. She is a member of the AICPA and is also a Notary Public for the State of New York.

Diapoules & Feinstein was founded in 1989 on the ideologies of exceptional work and individualized service. We opened our practice at a centrally located, Long Island office, to remain easily accessible to our clientele. With the vision of servicing a diverse customer base with varying needs, we familiarized ourselves in a wide array of accounting disciplines. In the time since, our modest staff has grown to a formidable group of financial experts.

In 2009, our accountant passed away. We then retained Diapoules & Feinstein as our accounting firm. They stepped in and quickly learned our business and the transfer was seamless. They subsequently advised us on our business’ move to Avenel New Jersey from Brooklyn. To save taxes on the gain from the sale of our building we did a like kind exchange of our property. Since they were experienced in like kind exchanges, they worked well with the attorneys and the bank in completing the complicated transaction.

Jim Diapoules and Diapoules & Feinstein CPAs P.c. have been our accountants for over 25 years. In our dealings with them we have always been treated as if we were family. Jim and his staff’s help was invaluable when I was operating a successful plastic surgery practice and also in my later ventures. As an example, despite our anxiety, they calmly guided us through two IRS audits that resulted in no additional tax due. Everyone at Diapoules & Feinstein has always been helpful, friendly and ready to assist us in any matter that may have concerned us.
