Reciprocating Compressors The Founders of Quincy Compressor were both entrepreneurs and innovators. Propelled by the success of a unique reciprocating vacuum pump in the early 1920s, Quincy Compressor was advancing the industry to meet changing customer demands. From vacuum pumps to single-stage compressors to splash-lubricated two-stage compressors, Quincy was developing new products to meet the industry's insatiable demand for more air at higher and higher pressures. In 1937, Quincy Compressor introduced the Quincy QR-25 reciprocating compressor. Today, with over 60 years of proven performance, the Quincy QR-25 stands as a symbol of quality throughout the industry. These same durable characteristics have since become a part of Quincy's complete reciprocating line, ranging from 1/3hp to 30hp-manufactured in Quincy's state-of-the-art division headquarters in Quincy, Illinois. Every Quincy QR-25 reciprocating compressor features cast-iron construction, stainless steel disc-type valves for continuous operation, two-piece connecting rods, and the high-efficiency, low-maintenance performance standard that is synonymous with True Blue Reliability.
