Digital Alert Systems, LLC was formed in October 2003 following a discussion of how present IP based technologies could improve the cost and operation of FCC specified EAS encoders and decoders. Investigation proved that current generation hardware and software programming could produce a greatly improved cost-effective product for the Emergency Alert System. The result was the DASDEC. FCC certification, field tests, and widespread adoption of the DASDEC within the Broadcast, Cable, Telco industry have proven the value of the design. The DASDEC is manufactured under license by Monroe Electronics Inc. Digital Alert Systems markets the DASDEC to Broadcasters and Emergency Operation Centers throughout the US.
