April, 2010: NewTek demonstrated the new TCXD850 TriCaster, the latest addition to the highly-successful TriCaster family and NewTek's second hi-def live presentation system. Like the earlier three-input TCXD300, the TCXD850 works with 1080i, 720p, 480p and 480i live video sources, offers hi-definition graphics, virtual sets and streaming plus two independent keyers which can be scaled and positioned. The rackmount TCXD850 works with up to eight external video sources plus two external computer sources at the same time, provides two DDRs, redundant power supply and removable hard drives. The TCXD850 is expected to start shipping in July of 2010.
