With a vision of providing the best temporary workers to the community and stable work assignments to hard working blue collar temps, Direct Labor opened its first office on January 1, 1997 in Beaverton, Oregon. On July 1, 1997, Direct Labor opened an additional branch office at 1924 B Street, Forest Grove, Oregon. Focusing on the area's large wholesale nurseries, as well as the rapidly expanding construction industry in Washington County, this branch quickly became a major player in the temporary labor industry. Focusing on flexibility for both the worker and the client, Direct Labor is able to give the option of daily or weekly pay for the temporary employee, as well as having the ability to dispatch crews by the day or by the week. With revenues of over 1 million in the first year of operations, Direct Labor opened another branch at 845 N. Pacific Hwy in Woodburn, Oregon in July 1998. Later that year, it was decided to merge the Beaverton branch into the Forest Grove location. In addition, Direct Labor purchased an office at 327 West Main, Hillsboro, Oregon. This is where the corporate offices are located. Continuing its rapid growth, in 2004 Direct Labor has added a new branch in Portland, Oregon. Located at 4940 North Lombard, this office serves the Portland metropolitan area. Beginning in 2002, Direct Labor became the single largest supplier of skilled nursery labor in the state of Oregon.
