At the same time, giving our employees the opportunity to earn a good wage in pleasant surroundings while taking enjoyment and personal satisfaction in their jobs.Direct Metals Co, LLC was founded in 1996 by two friends with a combined 60 years of experience in the metals business.Haynes Carswell and Tom Hoover, Jr. had known each other for over 20 years through their mutual memberships in the former Steel Service Center Institute, a trade organization. They realized there was a need for another metals company that would specialize in perforated metal, wire mesh, grating, expanded metal, safety decking, fiberglass grating and handrail components.
