Description
All too often an insured will wait to challenge an insurance company’s position that a claim is subject a limited pay period until after the limited benefit period ends. By waiting for the expiration of the limited benefit period the insured is forced to appeal a denial of benefits while no money is forthcoming from an insurance company. When time and money is of the essence action must be taken quickly.
I have been disabled for over 2 years now and collecting SSDI since 2010. In 2011 I returned to the work force on a “trial” work period to determine if I could work. I had gone through several procedures to help my chronic back pain and was in real threat of losing my car, home etc. because I was so far behind on paying my bills. Social Security offered me the chance to see if I could work by the return to work trial they offer. For about 6 months I did work, but as each day went by my pain became worse.
I have worked for my work for over 4 years. During working for this company I learned I have bipolar, anxiety, and depression. I have gone out of work about 4 times for the same reason always having issues but getting them approved. This time I opened a claim and let’s just say they said I didn’t; they reviewed the call and eventually opened the claim 2 weeks later. Then after calling for 2 weeks everyday to get info and see what I needed to do, then denied my claim. Saying I am not disabled, my Dr. did not give me the option to go back to work.
