ProSite Explorer TM is designed to run autonomously and ‘maintenance free’ on a corporate Intranet. It requires no special IT Administrative Support (beyond optional Firewall Access for external users). Your Server fits side-by-side a corporate (Windows or Unix) Domain and broadcasts the database server. The system does not need any special configurations or security clearances. It does not logon to your domain, but simply broadcasts its database service. Users can install the client application, which then automatically connects to the Server (using a built in Application Role).
