The Solution - Part I: Send your canister light to the manufacturer for repair. Our experience has been our manufacturers do a GREAT job of customer service on light repairs and their prices for out-of-warranty repairs are excellent. The turn around is usually just a few days but can be longer if there are special circumstances such as a difficult to diagnose problem. Just contact the manufacturer directly to get a service quote and RMA number, and send the light to them. If you need it back by a certain date for that "big dive", be sure to let them know.

We don't offer replacement bladders and there is a good reason. Manufacturers frequently make changes to the bladders in wings, and there is no way to be sure that current bladders will fit existing wings. We recommend that you directly contact the service department for the manufacturer of your wing and arrange to return the wing to them for repair. If you purchased the wing from us, and prefer, you can send the wing to us and we will send it to the manufacturer, but this does not add any value, and will cause a delay.

To provide better drysuit insulation than their back gas breathing mixture would, divers sometimes carry a small pony containing argon or air with just a first stage regulator and a low pressure drysuit inflator hose. However, on dedicated drysuit inflation systems there is no regulator second stage to provide relief should the high pressure seat fail. Without a way to relieve the pressure, the drysuit could begin inflating rapidly or the low pressure hose could rupture. The over-pressure relief valve provides the same fail-safe function as a normal regulator second stage.

The regulator manufacturers do not endorse the installation or substitution of any non-factory part or component with their products because they do not have the ability to control or evaluate the quality and compatibility of such items. The installation of non-factory parts such as regulator hoses or other components may or may not have negative effects upon performance, function and safety. The regulator manufacturers disclaim liability for defect, damage or injury caused by the use of any non-factory parts or accessories.
