In 1993, company president Jerry Vitillo's home remodeling business took an interesting twist when the company became associated with a store fixture distributor/installation contractor who worked primarily for national retail chains. In his basement, Jerry started to build plastic laminate-clad display and merchandising units, and Vitillo & Son, Inc. became the fabricator for this company. One of the staple products for the company was a prefabricated wall system that was adopted by many "home center" type stores. The wall system enabled the stores' kitchen departments to easily display multiple complete kitchen arrangements. Two years and two moves later, Vitillo & Son, Inc. found themselves in a large commercial space located in Lakewood, New Jersey.
