Dixie Paper Company Incorporated was established May 1, 1976 by Huey and Marjorie Horn and their sons, Tim and Andy. With great commitment, hard work and sacrifice, Huey and Marjorie’s goal was simply to care for their family, employees and valued customers. The company began by Huey selling products in the Shreveport, Louisiana area. His great knowledge of the paper industry and business acumen were undeniably intuitive and visionary. Marjorie’s grace, kindness and positive character were a great blessing to the business’ success as she managed the office. Tim and Andy were initially responsible for warehousing and delivery. Eventually, Huey and Marjorie contained their duties to business management and sent Tim and Andy out to make sales calls. Business began to thrive.
