Description

Dr. Robert Brochstein is an "almost native" Atlantan, having moved here at age 3 in 1960. He graduated from Northside High School, then attended Emory University, receiving a B.S. in Biology in 1978, and a doctorate in dentistry in 1982. After graduation, Dr. Brochstein worked for 8 years on a part-time basis for the Fulton County Health Department. The Dental Division, still functioning today, cares for children between the ages of 3 and 17, on an income eligibility scale. In 1984, he established a private practice in Midtown with an emphasis on helping parents and kids keep their smiles for a lifetime. On the education front, Dr. Brochstein has taken over 1000 hours of continuing education since his graduation. In the summer of 2004, he received his Fellowship from the Academy of General Dentistry in recognition of his dedication to lifelong learning. Coursework has varied over the past 23 years. Dr. Brochstein has attended mini residencies at the Bethesda Naval Academy, and has belonged to a local study group since 1990. His educational focus over the past decade has been on comprehensive treatment of complex cases often involving full mouth dental reconstruction that can help patients look great and chew properly. On a personal note, Dr. Brochstein's adorable wife, Marsha, is a teacher of 6 th grade science, and they are parents to a beautiful baby boy, named Nate. They both love outdoor activities and sports, as well as spending time with family and friends.
