A frequent keynoter at professional and industry conferences, Dr. Ferguson has served as a consultant to many of the companies, foundations, and healthcare systems in the emerging online health industry. He is the editor and publisher of The Ferguson Report, the Newsletter of Online Health (www.fergusonreport.com), and DocTom's Weblog (doctom.com) and author of Health Online: How to Find Health Information, Support Groups and Self-Help Communities in Cyberspace, a book Dr. Dean Ornish has called "the Bible of self-care information on the Internet." Dr. Ferguson received his MD from the Yale University School of Medicine. He is currently a Senior Research Fellow for Online Health at the Pew Internet and American Life Project in Washington DC. Dr. Ferguson is also an Adjunct Associate Professor of Health Informatics at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, and a Senior Associate at Boston's Center for Clinical Computing, a medical computing think-tank associated with Harvard Medical School and Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital. He lives and works in Austin.
