DogPACT is a full-service behavioral training company located in Long Beach, California. DogPACT was founded in 1996 by Terry Long, CPDT-KA, an accomplished trainer and winner of a 2006 Dog Writers of America Maxwell Award .

Foundation skills in applying contemporary positive reinforcement training techniques, especially for people who have experience in the traditional training methods, but want to learn about clicker training and other popular positive methods.

DogPACT offers both private and group agility training. Our focus is on team building, having fun, and building a strong foundation of skills before asking dogs to perform more complex or difficult behaviors. We specialize in taking a "behavioral approach" to agility training. That means that we use our extensive understanding of how dogs learn and apply that to the training of agility.

Clicker training is a type of positive reinforcement training that clarifies for your dog what the exact behavior is that you want. DogPACT trainers have extensive experience in using this fun and effective method of training. Whether you use a clicker (a small plastic device that makes a clicking sound) or your own voice as the behavioral marker, you will learn how to improve your timing and reinforcement skills to make the learning experience fun and productive for your dog.
