Description

It all began in 1952, when Marie started making slipcovers, draperies, and bedspreads from home, for relatives. Then, in 1956, her husband Don decided it was time to put her "in business!" In 1957, Don & Marie opened a small shop in Belleville with 2 employees. Over the next decade, they had to keep moving into larger quarters to accommodate the increased workload. In 1971, the business was incorporated. In 1973, they purchased their current location at 145 Heckel Street in Belleville, NJ. Today, Don's Drapery Mfg. operates one of the largest and most modernly equipped workrooms in the State of New Jersey and have over 16 full-time employees.
