Just drive through any neighborhood of the 2,000+ cities Door To Door presently serves, and chances are you'll see a Door To Door container before you know it.In 1996 we set out to establish a company that would change the self-storage industry forever. The company was founded by Tim Riley, a former executive in the storage industry, who wanted to provide a secure and convenient alternative to the hassles that consumers face when storing their belongings. The resulting business, based in Seattle, was a company that brings the storage unit to the consumer’s doorstep where they can pack it up and then the containers are taken to a secure facility in the area for storage.Door To Door was met with rave reviews from customers, and by 1998 had expanded into Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles and San Diego. In March of 1998, Door To Door slowed expansion into new markets and focused on fine-tuning its business for deeper market penetration and better customer service. By August of 2001, this proof of performance paid off. Door To Door's national expansion had now begun. During this time Inc. Magazine rated Door To Door the 54th Fastest Growing Private Company in America.
