Dorn & Hart Microedge is a family owned company with over 55 years combined experience, that specializes in the manufacturing, servicing, and repair of histology, pathology, and microscopy equipment such as Tungsten Carbide and steel microtome knives, microtomes, and cryostat microtomes.

Our products cover a wide range and are specifically intended to meet your histology needs from knives and slide presses to specific stains and many other consumable products. We are continuously improving our inventory by adding new products to our line and adding convenience to existing products. If you ever need a specialty item contact us with your parameters and we will get that item for you or provide a solution. Custom parts can be made in house by our advanced CNC machine center. We can make custom parts from almost any material (most commonly metals or plastics).

Including equipment, stains, chemicals, and consumables; our hard tissue division is dedicated to being a "one-stop-shop" to service your resin histology and hard tissue supply needs. As the techniques used in histology and pathology has evolved over the years, so has Dorn & Hart. In fact, Dorn & Hart was a pioneer in the industry with tungsten-carbide knives and today's tungsten-carbide blades are all based on the early prototypes Dorn & Hart made in the 1970's. With nearly 40 years of experience in the manufacturing and reconditioning / re-sharpening of tungsten-carbide knives, while always maintaining the high standard of quality and the commitment of fast turnaround services for their customers, no other company or person comes close to measuring up.
