Double-D Engineering began as a one-person firm in 1994 in the garage of a typical 2-flat building in San Francisco. Today we are 8-person firm conveniently located on the 2nd floor of a 2 story building right behind City Building Department. We provide structural engineering services for the smallest of residential projects to mid-size office buidings. Our projects are wide ranging with the majority being residential and low-rise commercial construction. We are a firm sized to allow participation by the principal in virtually all aspects of all projects. We also have particular specialties in seismic upgrades and indoor climbing structures. Our clients are predominantly with Architects, Developers, Design-Build Contractors and Property Owners.
