Double S Farm

Description

Double S Farm was established in 1998. However its roots go as far back as the early seventies. As the owners of Double S, Ronnie and Bonnie Stewart can truly call their farm a life's work and family affair. Ronnie started in the breeding business in 1974 with his father Bill, a long time horseman, in Bell County Texas. Early on Ronnie learned that to have a truly successful breeding operation two things were required: meticulous care for the horses which would increase conception rates, and trust from your customers. After the death of Ronnie's father in 1978, he found himself working at various racetracks in their racing offices. After obtaining invaluable experience while at the race track, Ronnie soon found himself back in the breeding game. In 1985 Ronnie returned to Bell County to manage the breeding operation at Diamond S Farm. While at Diamond S Ronnie was closely tied to such stallions as Casady Casanova, Jody O Toole, Hooked On Cash, and was an integral part the rise of an up and coming stallion named Royal Shake Em. Finally in 1998 Ronnie and Bonnie went out on their own and created Double S Farm in Holland, Texas, with Royal Shake Em as their primary stallion. Double S continues to achieve exceptional conception rates with their horses. Double S's work has been recognized by Texas A&M University, with whom a relationship of mutual information sharing has been established. Here at Double S we still work the old fashioned way.
