Acquiring your puppy from a pet shop or an animal Shelter/ humane society, that places puppies in masses and that are only in it for your "donations" or for their profit margin, can be a very risky and costly choice. None of these animals will come to you with any realistic back ground check, which means you and your family will be at their mercy. Once upon a time, we backed and donated many supplies and funds to these organizations, including not less than a thousand dollars for the human and canine, Hurricane Katrina victims. The reward for this assistance was the mandatory spay and neuter law and blame for all puppy overcrowding on all purebred dog breeders. Since this slap in the face, it has been discovered that there have been many illegal smuggling of "rescue" mongrel puppies from Mexico and other countries by these very same organizations and in order to keep up with all the public demand. How about "mandatory tattooing / micro-chipping"?
