Dover Baptist Temple

Our Library is a memorial to Rev. William Estes, who served as Pastor of the Dover Baptist Temple faithfully for over 30 years. Rev. William Estes had a desire to reach out into the community and help young and old alike come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. He also had a desire to provide resources for people in church to grow in their faith. Our library began with the donation of a set of Dr. Oliver B. Green commentaries and assorted other volumes by Rev. & Mrs. Estes and was added to by members and friends of the church.

Bring people out to our monthly games in Strasburg. From April to October we have regular games at out field (Hickory Hollow) in Strasburg. At each game we provide lunch for all the players and we also provide the Gospel message with an invitation to receive Christ. When you bring people out to play you are guaranteeing that they will hear the Gospel.

Rev. William Estes faithfully served Dover Baptist Temple for a lifetime. He loved God and served ferverently for over 30 years.

It is no surprise that the impetus for the expansion of the ministry structure of the early church was "growth pains." "In those days, as the number of disciples was multiplying, there arose a complaint by the Hellenistic Jews against the Hebraic Jews that their widows were being overlooked in the daily distribution" (Acts 6:1). If you have been in church for more than a few months, you may have heard a few complaints. When complaints occur because of growth, our natural reaction is to ease the pain at all costs.
