Downtown Auto Service, Inc. was founded in 1976 by Lewis H. Kent, a local business man and Professional Land Surveyor. Mr. Kent saw a need not only for his company, George F. Young, Inc.; a local Civil Engineering and Surveying firm in St. Petersburg, but for the entire metropolitan St. Petersburg area. That need was for a convenient automotive service and repair center that customers could rely on to be honest and fair.
