West Virginia University Hospitals located in Morgantown, WV. Dr. Miele also has a degree in pharmacy and a strong interest in sports medicine. He has worked with NHL and others to develop a specialize mouth guard to be used in football and other contact sports to provide real-time feedback on contact forces. He has written multiple book chapters and articles on traumatic spine and brain injury including both sports related and chronic injuries to the spine and brain. He has attended many specialized courses in complex spine surgery and has presented scientific lectures both nationally and internationally. Dr. Miele attended West Virginia Medical School and also completed his Neurosurgical residency at West Virginia University Hospitals Department of Neurosurgery. He is Fellowship trained in complex spine surgery from Cleveland Clinic Hospitals and maintains licences to practice in Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Ohio. He has established various office locations including: Lower Burrell, PA, Beaver Falls, PA, Greenville, PA, Monroeville, PA, Wexford, PA and Wheeling Hospital in Wheeling WV.
