At Dread Head our situation is quite different. When it's your company each person you interact with is your customer and every part of that interaction is important to you. Every word of praise and each criticism is important. We dedicate an overwhelming majority of our lives to Dread Head and when we make customers happy life is good. We measure how well we're doing by your response to us, our site and our products.

Seriously though, one thing we don't talk about much on our site is the people that make up Dread Head. At first it was because we were just starting out and we didn't want our unusually small size to scare people away. Then it seemed like a good idea to maintain a larger professional image to build trust with dealers and distributors. Now that we feel more established and we've been at this for years we are letting the dreads out of the tam and letting everyone know just how small we really are.

We started DreadHead HQ because we love dreadlocks, that’s why we wear them. We don’t just sell dreads, we live dreads. In other words we are the dreadlocks company that wears dreadlocks. We start our new product testing on ourselves and we don't sell stuff that we don’t personally use on our own dreads.

The Shampoo you wash your dreads in is every bit as important as the wax you choose. A good dread shampoo leaves your hair truly clean. Sounds easy right? All soaps & shampoos do that right? Nope. The truth is manufactures are more concerned with how their product smells, conditions and moisturizes than how well it cleans. Some residues are left behind to benefit undreaded hair in various ways. Some make it more manageable by helping it slip out of knots, others protect hair from uv rays and some just make it smell like tea tree oil.
