March 1946 – the Eaton Manufacturing Company acquired Dynamatic®. The Dynamatic® Corporation remained a wholly owned subsidiary until December 1953, when it became the Dynamatic Division of Eaton Corporation. In the middle 1960’s, Eaton also developed and started manufacturing adjustable frequency and DC drives. In 1995, Eaton completed a consolidation of AF drive manufacture at its Oldsmar, Florida location and sold the remaining Eddy Current business to a group of private investors.

Dynamatic®’s history in the wire and cable industry is through cable manufacturers. Eddy Current equipment is involved in the manufacture of raw material used in the wire industry. A manufacturer casts the material, shapes and draws it to provide basic rod and bar stock for the various manufacturers of wire and wire products.

Dynamatic® has designed and manufactured specialty AC induction motors since 1965. Whether your application is for high torque or high speed, Dynamatic® can provide the unique AC motor that will meet your needs. When these “squirrel cage” AC motors are used with a state-of-the-art vector inverter, they can meet even the most demanding applications, including high-speed test stands.

Dynamatic® offers quality remanufacture and repair for all Eddy Current drives and controls. We have been designing, building and refurbishing systems for over 80 years and know more about our equipment than anyone else. We have the original specifications, drawings, documentation, test requirements and update information. We offer the broadest line of AS/FAS Drives (Dynamatic Ajusto Spede) from .75-40 hp, as well as rugged and reliable AT Drives from 1-200 hp. Our Dynamatic DCD Drives offer low-cost dependability from 3-75 hp. Dynamatic CES Press Drives are Constant Energy System drives designed specifically for the stamping industry.
