Drowsy Water Guest Ranch For over 70 years this 600 acre ranch, nestled in its own private mountain valley, has provided folks from around the world with authentic western vacations. Latigo Dude Ranch Latigo Dude Ranch is secluded and small (35 guests) - the perfect size to create a sense of "family comin' home". King Mountain Guest Ranch King Mountain Guest Ranch is a Premier Colorado Rocky Mountain getaway located in a magnificant setting with mountains of activities including an extensive horse program and a children's program. Bar Lazy J Guest Ranch BAR LAZY J Guest Ranch is nestled in a peaceful valley along the banks of the Colorado River. Opened in 1912, BAR LAZY J is considered the oldest continuously operating guest ranch in the state. The ranch has a fascinating history and you will enjoy stepping into the past. The majority of our guests arrive on Sunday and receive a tour of the ranch and accommodations. After your tour, you will settle into your accommodations and meet with the wranglers, who will assess your horseback riding ability. Whether this is your first experience on a horse or an experienced rider, you will be paired with your horse partner for the week. Your ranch hosts will join you at dinner where you'll get the run down for the week. Remember, this is your vacation so you can participate in as many or as few activities as you please. All Grand County Colorado dude and guest ranches are located at approximately 7,500 feet above sea level. So, whether it's your first time at a dude guest ranch or you are a returning guest, being prepared is key. At higher altitudes, the sunrays are not filtered as well by the atmosphere.
