It was Bob ’s commitment to fill the niche for small job shops and individuals for quality coating applications for small-run metal products that the large coating companies were not equipped to handle. During those early years only liquid applications were offered and colors were limited. In 1987, DFI purchased the first batch oven and began offering powder coating in addition to liquid applications. As demand for liquid application diminished, and powder coating became an industry choice for coverage largely due to its durability and choice of colors and textures, DFI kept pace with industry requirements by expanding the facility, purchasing modern equipment, and increasing its employee base in order to continue to provide up to date powder coating processing for metal products. DFI ’s tradition as a family owned and operated corporation expanded in 1991 with the addition of Todd Cochran as Vice President. DFI continues to provide the highest quality, professional powder coating application in a consumer friendly service oriented manner. Our family name and 40 year reputation stands behind each product we coat.
