Tashi Sherpa, President and Founder of Duo Wear, got his start in the clothing business in the early 1980’s as a manufacturer in Kathmandu, Nepal. Although growth opportunities were limited, and the costs of manufacturing eventually became prohibitively high compared to other countries, Tashi learned enough to create a solid foundation for future businesses. In search of better opportunities, Tashi moved his family to the United States in 1989 and started a business importing small lots of goods from Nepal and neighboring countries.
