Description

The Small Business and Technology Development Center (SBTDC) was founded in 1984 and has been committed to providing business counseling and management education to prospective businesses in North Carolina. Most SBTDC services are free of charge and all SBTDC services are confidential.

Approximately 85% of the rural area is served by central water systems. Duplin County is committed to providing rural water service to every area in the county. In 1988, the County Commissioners adopted a master water system plan showing water line sizes, plus well and elevated tank locations for a countywide system. This plan has served as the basis for the design and construction of six district systems. Each district is a separate unit of government created with the County Board of Commissioners serving as the governing board of each district.

Duplin County is supplied with electrical power by Progress Energy, Tri-County Electric Membership Corporation, Four County Electric Membership Corporation, and Jones-Onslow Electric Membership Corporation. Each of these companies should be contacted to retrieve utility rate schedules or cost analysis to meet your specific needs.

Just west of Warsaw and one mile from Interstate 40 via NC Highway 24 and US Highway 117, WestPark offers 124 acres of fully improved land offering utilities, rail and roads ready for your business.
