Description

Our fees for most services are determined on an hourly basis. The hourly rates vary depending upon the skill and experience of the attorney or paralegal providing the services. In the case of comprehensive estate planning projects and the organization of some corporations or limited liability companies, we will provide services based upon an agreed upon fixed fee. We quote fixed fees only after meeting with the client to gather the necessary information and to determine the scope of the project and our role.

If you are an existing client, we may have assumed responsibility for your original Estate Planning documents by storing them in our Fire King vaults. We provide the service as a courtesy to our Estate Planning Clients. If your original Estate Planning documents are stored in our vault, we ask that you keep us informed of any changes to your contact information or of any other change that would affect our handling of your documents.

Our business law practice involves providing legal services in a broad range of matters, including organizing business entities, such as limited liability companies, partnerships, corporations and nonprofit organizations; negotiating and documenting real estate lease, option or purchase transactions; structuring and documenting transactions involving the financing or purchase and sale of businesses; and structuring buy-sell agreements between the holders of closely-held businesses.

Our estate planning practice involves providing legal services in a planning context and in after-death situations. Our planning services focus on estate and income tax minimization, asset protection, prenuptial agreements, divorce tax planning, wealth transfer techniques and the transition of family-owned businesses. We prepare the wills, trusts and other documents needed to implement comprehensive estate plans for our clients. We also assist in planning for distributions of individual retirement accounts and other retirement benefits.

Organizing the key information and making several fundamental decisions about the structure of the new business entity is the next step in organizing an Alaska business. To assist you in organizing the information and making the decisions, we provide the following information organizers for your use. The organizers provide an outline of the information needed and ask several questions that will get you thinking about the decisions you must make during the establishment of your new Alaska business entity.
