Description

We function with any traffic controller using the traditional preempt contract closure signals. We provide AVL (Advanced Vehicle Location) functionality. We provide central tracking and logging systems for all EVP Emergency Vehicle Preemption activity both in and out of code.

Rather than offer an "off the shelve" solution, EVIEWS provides a consultative approach to developing customized solutions by identifying your public safety, transit, traffic and homeland security challenges. This consultative approach enables states, counties, and municipalities to use a phased approach to implementing these advanced infrastructure solutions. Our modular architecture allows our customers to expand their needs when ready.

EViEWS was founded in conjunction with NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory and the California Institute of Technology, which provide an extensive resource of developing next generation solutions. The resulting technologies have been integrated into EViEWS products to provide significant enhancements to public transportation and safety systems. This resource affords EViEWS with the capability to handle future government needs as well.

Outside the Houston city limits, Harris County’s emergency service districts (ESDs) contract various public safety agencies to provide service. Enacting change in any multijurisdictional area is challenging, but every ESD across north Houston faced similar issues, so it wasn’t long for involved ESDs, Harris County, Houston TranStar and multiple fire agencies (Ponderosa, Klein, Champions, Cypress Creek and Spring) to develop a memorandum of understanding for the EViEWS system implementation.

Founded in 1998, as a Nevada Corporation, EViEWS Safety Systems Inc. utilizes space technology for the development of wireless emergency response technologies. In 2002, EViEWS Safety Systems was awarded a NASA Space Act award. In 2008, with the approval of Houston TranStar, a leading coalition of federal, state, and local authorities with responsibility for advancing intelligent traffic systems, EViEWS began installation of emergency vehicle priority (EVP) and traffic control systems in Harris County, Texas.
