EJM Development Company is a privately owned, Los Angeles based, real estate development company. The Company specializes in the acquisition of unimproved land and the development and management of quality commercial/industrial projects in California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah and New Mexico. We also invest in existing improved space that complements our current holdings in the markets we occupy. EJM’s portfolio currently consists of over eleven million square feet of existing space with another 1.7 million square feet of space under development. We have vital experience and long standing relationships with lenders, municipalities, contractors, architects and a variety of tenants. EJM Development Company was founded in 1953 by Ralph Monkarsh who envisioned a company that would not only provide quality craftsmanship but was also dedicated to providing its tenants with personalized service through in-house management. Ralph’s sons, Eugene and Jerry, driven by the same desire as their father to construct quality projects soon jumped on board. Together, this family-owned business flourished, by acquiring land throughout California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah and New Mexico. This growth includes the building, development, subdivision, and improvement of over 150 projects, 6,000 apartment and condominium units and over 11.5 million feet of industrial space. EJM Development Company has offices in Phoenix, Las Vegas and Los Angeles with over 100 employees providing in-house expertise in property management, leasing, finance, tax, acquisitions, development, disposition, marketing, accounting, information systems and real estate law. Our staff has a diverse set of skills, which enables EJM to interact with brokers, lenders, tenants and the public sector with respect and credibility.
