Description

Electrical Science, Inc. is an engineering consulting firm located in the New York metropolitan area and was founded in 2002 by Andrew Stevens. Electrical Science provides services in a variety of disciplines, including computer software and hardware design, network engineering, and embedded systems. We also conduct forensic and analytic research for patent disputes and litigation. We specialize in finding elegant solutions to difficult and esoteric problems.

Electrical Science has vast experience in extracting data from old computers and equipment. We can reverse-engineer old hardware, software, data formats, and the like.

Traditionally, voice loggers have been separate PBX-attached units which record all telephone conversations onto a computer tape or disk, typically a 4mm (DDS) tape, AIT tape, or DVD-RAM. These media are usually recorded in a manufacturer-specific format and can use a variety of different audio encoding methods. They usually can only be played back on the original equipment, sometimes only one call at a time. A voice logger tape can contain 10000+ conversations per tape (100+ hours), and some models can contain twenty times that.
