Ellis Moving and Storage was founded by Buster Ellis in 1918 here in Nashville. In 1958, Robert Johnson and his mother Nannie Lee purchased the company from Buster Ellis. Robert was at the helm until his death in July of 2004. The company expanded under his leadership, Mr. Johnson was a CPA by trade and a mover by passion. The current facility that we reside in was built in 1997 to handle the company's growth. Our current building is a modern, secure structure consisting of 60,000 of storage space. After the passing of Mr. Johnson, the company was managed by his estate. One of Mr.
Serving Nashville since 1918, Ellis Moving and Storage, LLC has been a part of the community and will continue to be a partner for the business and residential community providing the quality service they have grown accustomed to. Ellis has expanded into the Archives business, Department of Defense carrier, 48 state hauling authority, hotel and distribution services.
