Founded in 1972 in New York City, TransLingua's mission was to provide language training for professionals in government and industry. As the global marketplace expanded, our clients' need to communicate in an increasingly wide array of languages grew. In order to meet those needs more efficiently, TransLingua joined with The Translation Company of America, assumed the translation arm of the French Institute Alliance Francaise and, more recently, merged with Language Matters to offer a comprehensive range of services in over 80 languages.

We have been providing language services to one of the nation's leading medical centers for many years. Having developed an in-depth knowledge of the hospital's operations and culture, our project managers had set up processes for providing translations and interpreters on a moment's notice.

Clients from many fields choose us to provide translations for their media and technology products. Whether a television station needs an interpreter for an interview in Europe, or a manufacturer wants to localize software for Asia, we can meet any challenge. The linguists who work on your project will be selected for their knowledge of a specific field or industry as well as for their experience in the target market.

For over a decade, we have been under contract to provide translations for one of the largest banks headquartered in the US. The client was early to realize the importance of communicating with its clients in their native language--even though those clients live in the US. Initially, the client focused on Spanish, Chinese, and Korean.
