Description

Fitch’s Bridge over the Nashua River, in the Town of Groton, MA, was built in 1898 by the Berlin Iron Bridge Company (Berlin, CT) and was shipped to its current location. The 126 foot long double-intersection Warren Truss bridge was used by pedestrians and vehicles for over 65 years until it was closed to traffic in the mid 1960’s due to heavy deterioration.

Like many firms, our beginning was small and humble. The Company was founded in 1945 as Eastern Tree and Landscape Corporation of Dedham, Massachusetts. At that time, residential and commercial landscaping made up the majority of work. These early years garnered the work ethic we hold true to today: hard work done well.

This $56 million MassDOT project is scheduled for completion in 2018. E.T.& L. Corp. has recent experience in rotary/interchange construction by completing the $37 million Sagamore Rotary/Interchange reconstruction project in 2007.
