Founded in 1911, the Eugene Water & Electric Board is Oregon’s largest customer-owned utility. Chartered by the city of Eugene, a five-member Board of Commissioners is elected by the citizens of Eugene and governs the utility. The utility’s mission is:As a citizen-owner, you have a stake in the utility's decisions. There are numerous opportunities for you to become involved in EWEB affairs and provide feedback to commissioners and the staff.We sponsor an extensive education program, offer numerous recreational activities and take pride in participating in many community activities, events and programs.
