Description
Earthlands has served as an Earth-based education facility and a retreat center for personal transformation programs for over 25 years. With its wide range of accommodations and amenities, the property has supported college and university courses; retreats for organizations and individuals; festive seasonal gatherings; conferences, trainings, and workshops. The Lodge is also home to the University of the Wild .
The goals of the land Trust are to remove the land from private ownership; assure that the programs will be financially sustainable; restructure the organization; improve the lodge and infrastructure; and assure the protection for the land for education, wildlife protection, and open space.
The Institute for Environmental Awareness, Inc. (IEA) founded in 1973 is the non-profit parent organization of the Earthlands Program Center and the University of the Wild . The new owner may become a partner of the IEA as a Sponsorship Program or as a Special Project. At least one member of the new ownership team would be a member of the IEA Board of Directors.
