Since EAS Laboratories establishment in 1984 they have developed extensive expertise in the area of environmental measurements. Through the EPA funded Special Analytical Services (SAS) and Direct Analytical Services (DAS) programs, EAS has participated in the development of new analytical methods, especially the modified 524.2 method for volatile organic compounds. EAS has supplied Contract Laboratory Program (CLP) level deliverables to many EPA regions. With a staff of highly trained scientists, EAS is prepared to provide efficient service at all stages of environmental projects. The laboratory services the entire United States, and looks forward to continuing its progressive role in the environmental testing industry. The laboratory maintains membership in the Independent Testing Laboratory Association (ITLA), and holds state certifications in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New York and New Jersey. Also they are certified under the National Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program (NELAP). EAS was among the first laboratories in the United States to receive this accreditation.
