Eastern Shipbuilding Group is a shipbuilding and marine repair company specializing in commercial steel and aluminum vessel construction and repair. Eastern also engages in industrial steel fabrication. Eastern Shipbuilding Group, depending on work load, has employed from 100 up to 1100 employees. Over the past few years, employment levels have been around 300 to 400 persons. Many or our key superintendents and foremen have been employed here at Eastern an average of over 15 years. Working as a team, Eastern Shipbuilding Group has become one of today's leading innovators in marine construction and repair, with three modern shipbuilding yards located in Bay County, Florida. Eastern Shipbuilding Group's eleven acre Nelson Street shipbuilding and repair facility is located close to downtown Panama City, Bay County, Florida and has over 1,300 feet of water frontage situated on deep water St. Andrew Bay, a short distance from the Gulf of Mexico. Adjacent to the Nelson street shipyard is our six acre East Avenue fabrication yard, where much of the modular pre-fabrication is performed. Eastern Shipbuilding Groups largest shipyard facility is a 140 acre site which is located 12 miles east in Allanton, Bay County, Florida.
