Eat cake graphics is an online mail order business. Started in January 2000 by my husband and myself, we offer rubberstamps of original, whimsical design both mounted and unmounted, for retail and wholesale. Using images from our stamp line for inspiration, in 2006 I added quilt patterns. I've been quilting for a number of years so the progression just seemed natural. I've had a few people ask how this all started and what training I've had so I thought I'd take a moment and elaborate for those interested. Drawing. Creating. I can't remember a time when I wasn't doing something! To let some of these things out, I keep a sketchbook- I recommend this highly. Not only sketches but snippets of this-and-that. Anything can spark an idea and if it catches my eye, but I'm not totally sure why, I tape it in for later. Ideas... where do they come from? I can safely say, you just never know. I love reading the Sunday funnies...
