Eaton&Associates is a streamlined team of communication professionals in Minneapolis. We offer the capabilities of an agency with the personalized attention of a small company. Whatever your communication needs, our associates and independent consultants will create solutions geared toward your business and your audience. As founder and principal of Eaton & Associates, Tim brings his expertise to every project, acting as advisor and consultant to the E&A team and the client from the first meeting to the final product. His thirty-five plus years of design experience include senior design positions with Cowles Communications, Debrey Industrial Design, and Ellerbe Architects. He was a partner in the design firm of Ariss & Eaton and in 1981 founded E&A. Tim believes that design plays a critical role in the business community as well as the civic sphere. This philosophy has fueled his active participation in the Minneapolis and regional design communities since he first earned his BFA from the Minneapolis College of Art & Design. He is a current member of the American Institute of Graphic Arts of Minnesota (AIGA), where he served as a board member for 10+ years and spearheaded the organization’s Environmental Responsibility Initiative. He is also a member of The American Center for Design and an advisory board member at the University of Wisconsin-Stout. He served for eleven years as a visiting lecturer of design at UW Stout. Most recently, Tim merged his professional passion with his personal passion by launching Canoeng.com—The Ultimate Guide to Canoeing Online. Tim’s work has been published in American Institute of Graphics Arts, American Center for Design and Graphis Poster books as well as in Communication Arts, Graphics USA, Graphis, HOW, Industrial Design, Photo Design, Photo District News and Print magazines. His work has received awards from The American Institute of Graphic Arts, The American Center for Design, The International Association of Business Communicators, Minneapolis Art Directors Club, Minnesota Graphic Design Association, Package Design Council of America, Society for Technical Communication, Society of Typographic Arts, Typographers International, Graphis and AIGA/Minnesota. contact: teaton@EandA.com
