Eccog

Description

The East Central Council of Local Governments (ECCOG) is a voluntary association of the county commissioners and elected municipal officials in Cheyenne, Elbert, Kit Carson and Lincoln counties, Colorado. ECCOG members work together to improve governmental decision-making at the local level. Policy for the organization is set by an eight-member board of directors which represents each county and its municipalities equally. The East Central Council of Local Governments is not another layer of government. There are no programs or activities undertaken without obtaining advice from a variety of citizen advisory groups and from the local governments, or without formal approval by the governing board. ECCOG has no taxing authority.
